The Sixteenth Sunday after Pentecost

The Sixteenth Sunday after Pentecost
September 9, 2018

Welcome to the Lord’s Day. As one pastor likes to say: the Gospel is touch. Jesus touched those whom He healed; the touch itself
was healing. Here is the scandalous joy of the Christian faith: God became flesh—He became touchable—in order to fill His creation with renewed joy and health. Still today, our Lord Jesus Christ touches you through the gifts of His grace, promising that your flesh has been marked for the kingdom of God and
the redemption that it holds for all creation.
