Offering Envelope Announcement

The Offering Envelope company for Zion has been forced to suspend Jan/Feb envelopes due to supply chain and employment issues. It promises to restart in March. You may still share an offering using an envelope of yours with your name on it (or you may put your envelope number, if you know it). Zion’s office will be working to provide help, as well. Watch for further updates. Also, it is possible to give to Zion via automatic withdrawal; contact the church office for more information. “God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Cor. 9:7).

Listen Live on WSAU radio every Sunday

85th Anniversary of the Wausau Lutheran Hour

On Easter Sunday, March 28, 1937, two months after Wausau’s first radio station, WSAU, went on the air (Jan. 31), Zion broadcast its first service over the radio airwaves from the old church at 5th and Scott Streets.

Through the efforts of Zion’s Pastor Paul Roehrs and WSAU’s Chief Engineer, Roland Richardt (a member of Zion), the Wausau Lutheran Hour began. The broadcast has flourished over the years through the support of members of Zion, and others from the Wausau area, who sponsored broadcasts in memory of departed loved ones, birthdays, or anniversaries. This broadcast has been a blessing to thousands of homebound persons in Central Wisconsin, has reached ears around the world thanks to the Internet, and has served as an irreplaceable asset to our worship during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Listen to our Sunday 9:00 am Worship Service by tuning into WSAU 550 AM, 99.9 FM and 95.1 FM.  You can also listen live on WSAU and clicking on Listen Live.
