The high school years are pivotal in the faith formation of our youth. To equip our youth to handle big questions as they get older, below you can find links for high school students to read and reflect on. These links are for apologetics, being able to, as St. Peter says, “make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you” (1 Peter 3:15). Apologetics is the practice of contending “for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude v. 3). Apologetics answers questions tied to truth, such as: Who is Jesus Christ and how do we know? Why can we trust the Bible for doctrine and life? Since God is good, how do we understand the evil and suffering around us?

A website the pastors of Zion highly recommend for our high school youth is Higher Things. This site provides daily devotions, videos, podcasts, and many other resources.
They can be followed on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
Our high school group which meets once a month has been discussing the two books pictured below about defending the faith. A few copies are still available at church.
